Count To Deadline

I have been inspired by the match stick. Each stick is like each different task that we are having to undertake in our day to day lives. The process of lighting up the match represents the time and pressure; everything building towards the finality of the deadline. The match starts burns gradually coming to an end, it is hot and nervous and I try not scald myself, the developed into an exploration of expiry, time and pressure. Each match was like a different task when it started burning, it turns to become a timeline.

We are all chased by time.

I am thinking how to represent ‘Time is urgent’. In the beginning, I was looking at different ways of documenting the time. During our life experiences, we all have the moments that where we are running out of the time, times if intense stress. From this I have devised a stress measurement.

From the smiling face to unhappy face to represent a different level of pressure, and the tightness within the body. The shape comes from the cable tie and the food tag, once you use a cable tie is you can’t make it lose, which is like time, it can never go back. The text on the tag explains “Expired by tomorrow: 23:59” : we always got the deadline, the deadline will always be there.
